This has nothing to do with the film itself, but I have to assert how much it grates that the synopsis makes it sound like surviving is inherently heroic. That said:

The only way this movie could be worse is if you could watch it while the world was scrambling to recover from an actual cataclysmic event.

…oh, wait.

So, it actually couldn’t be worse, then.
