This is going to be a short one, and for that I apologize. I’ve had a very busy day and have schoolwork yet to do. So, without further ado.
Middle of Nowhere was a no-brainer for me: Anton Yelchin, Eva Amurri AND Susan Sarandon all in the same film together? The only real question is why I didn’t watch it sooner. As a morality tale it struggles, spinning it’s little indie wheels but never really going where it could and possibly should have. I have no idea what the film was ultimately trying to convey. Being rich is inherently bad unless you’re the quirky adopted son? The acting is naturally quite good, almost too good for a tale this pedestrian. The characters do a really go job of making you like and relate to them even when you come out of the thing not sure why you bothered.

Yup. I agree with all of this. This is a movie I love despite itself, kind of. I did almost app Dorian, but only because I feel like he deserves BETTER somehow :b
